Presentation

Today I gave my end of summer presentation at work. I had to recap what I had done the last ten weeks. If anyone is interested, this is what I did:

Familiarized myself with The Metropolitan Opera Guild, it's mission, and programs

Developed study guides and activities for Met School Membership programs for the operas La Boheme and Il Trovatore

Helped prepare for Summer Institute, Documented Institute, Made evaluations of the recordings and notes taken at Institute

Learned more about curriculum design - specifically the backwards design model

Used backward design to come up with a starting point in developing teacher materials to help them through the new Opera Explorers program

Assisted with Volunteer Appreciation Celebration

Developed an idea and rough prototype of an Opera Explorers magazine/newsletter that can be distributed nationwide to students, schools, and families

Made some new friends and learned a lot about myself and my cababilities, developed more self confidence and knowledge about what I can do and what I enjoy doing
