I have to say Happy Birthday to my Grandpa, Charles Lane, in Portland, Oregon! He is 98 years old today (or should I say 98 years young)! I love my Grandpa very much and I want everyone to know what a great man he is! He has accomplished so much - he is a cowboy, a WWII vet, a teacher, a principal, a volunteer fireman, rock collector and jewelry maker, fisherman, music man -plays the bones, spoons, and harmonica, a dad, a grandpa, and a great-grandpa!! Grandpa I love you and I wish I could be there on your special day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

I enjoyed reading your blog and viewing the photos. This is a great experience for you. Life is about taking risks. You never know what's out there if you don't. Enjoy it! I finally finished summer school. I had an interesting group of children. Really, most of them were great and I had a good time with them. I just don't think I could have made it another week. It was very tiring and challanging at times. I have been helping with decorations at church for vacation Bible school next week. I went to David S.'s birthday party at McDonalds yesterday and saw Sherry, the 5 boys from EC/Prek, and little Maddie. It was fun to see them all. Next week my 2 sisters, neice, and daughter and I are going to stay a night at San Luis Hotel in Galveston. It should be fun!
