STAMPS

The Chinese love stamps.  Everything has at least one stamp on it and most things have more than one stamp.  Every time you go to get any kind of document or make a purchase, your paper gets stamped and stamped again, then signed, and most likely stamped again.  They really love stamps!!  Everyone here has their own personalized stamp.  My friend Bonnie and I got ours at The Forbidden City.  Mine is a small stamp with a cute little rabbit picture etched on each side.  On the top is a carving of a rabbit.  I picked a rabbit because I was born in the year of the rabbitand this year for Chinese New Year, it happens to be the year of the rabbit!  My stamp has my English name and then the man translated it into Chinese and etched it also.  I will post a pic soon of my stamp!  It’s super cool and probably one of the few things I will bring back from China for myself.
